Aryavaidyasala was established in 1884 by Vaidya N. Vasudevan Unni, Former Palace Phycian to Sree Moolam Thirunal Maharaja of Travancore and Superintendent of Ayurveda Padasala. Shri. N. Subramonian Unni, the son of Vaidya N. Vasudevan Unni's brother obtained Ayurvedic Wisdom and speciality training from the founder and led the Vaidyasala into a prestigious Ayurvedic organization in Kerala, under the patronage of Dhanwantharidas Cheerattamon Moose of Olessa, one of the Ashta Vaidyas. His sons Dr. S Vasudev and Dr. S. Subramonian Unni established a multi speciality ayurvedic hospital in 1971 as a tribute to Vaidya Vasudevan Unni, the Founder. Now Vasudeva Vilasam Nursing Home is internationally recognized as the shining symbol of traditional excellence in Ayurvedic Health Care, with multispecialities, excellent doctors, specialized treatments and pure medicines.
