II In addition to many specialized Ayurvedic Treatments we offer Prime treatments like Pizhichil, Kizhi, Dhara and Therapies and massages. Pizhichil is very useful for Rheumatic diseases like Arthritis, Paralysis, Sexual weakness, Nervous weakness and Nervous Disorders. In this treatment lukewarm herbal oils are applied all over the body by trained masseurs in a special rhythmic way continuously for about 60 to 90 minutes per day for a period of 7 to 21 days. Navarakizhi is a process by which body or any specific part thereof is made to perspire by the application of certain medical puddings externally in the form of boluses tied up in a muslin bag. This treatment is for all types of Rheumatism, Pain in the joints, blood pressure, certain kind of skin diseases etc. Kizhi is very effective for different types of arthritis, Spondilosis, sports injuries etc. Herbal leaves and herbs or herbal powders are applied to the whole body in boluses with hot medicated oils for 45 minutes per day for a period of 7 to 14 days. Dhara is also a special treatment practiced in Kerala. Medicated oil, medicated butter milk or cows milk are allowed to freely flow over the upper part of the fore head continuously for specific periods. In Sirovasthi, medicated oil is made to stand on the patient’s head for specific periods. The oil is contained in a close-fitting leather cap, made leak proof with black-gram powder. Constant temperature conditions are maintained throughout. This treatment is useful for loss of tactile sensation, facial paralysis, sleeplessness, dryness of nostrils and throat, severe chronic headache etc. Vasthi is for Arthritis, Paralysis, Numbness, Gastric complaints associated with Rheumatism and constant Constipation. Certain herbal oils, herbal extracts etc. are applied throughout the rectum daily for a period of 5 to 25 days. Abhyangam, a special type of oil massage in which strokes are given according to the diseases for 45 minutes per day for 14 days. This treatment is very useful for Obesity. In Nasyam, Herbal juices medicated oils etc. are applied through nose for 7 to 14 days. Nasyam is highly effective for certain types of Headaches, Paralysis, Mental Disorders, some types of skin diseases etc. Snehapanam is effective for Osteoarthritis, Psoriasis, and Leukemia etc. Medicated ghee is given internally in a proportionally increased quantity for period of 8 to 12 days. Karnapoornam is a process of medicated fumes or oils applied to the ears for 5 to 10 minutes. This process helps to clean the ear and avoids ailments associated to the ear. Tharpanam is a cleaning process of the eyes, which gives cooling effects, prevents cataract and strengthens the optic nerve.

Rejuvenation Therapy includes body massage by medicated oil, head massage and face massage with oil and cream, internal rejuvenative medicines and medicated steam bath. This therapy is to rejuvenate the mind, body & soul, to tone up skin, to strengthen all systems so as to achieve health and longevity. Body Purification Therapy is a process of purifying the whole body to attain proper balance of Vatha, Pitha and Kapha based on Panchakarma and Swedakarma treatments. The 15 day package process includes body massage, Snehapanam, vamanam, Nasyam, Virechanam Sneha Vasthi, Pizhichil, Navarakizhi, Tharpanam, Sirovasthi and steam bath. Body Immunisation / Longevity Treatment is the prime treatment in Ayurveda for reducing aging process, arresting the degeneration of body cells and immunisation of the system. Giving Rasavaria (very special Ayurvedic diet) internally is the main part of the programme, based on the Panchakarma and Sweda Karma treatment. In Medicated Steam Bath Certain precious herbal leaves and herbs are boiled and the steam is passed to the whole body for 10 to 20 minutes General Massage is body massage with herbal oils or herbal powder for one hour by hand to tone up the body and to improve blood circulation etc. Rejuvenation Massage includes body massage with herbal oils or herbal powder by hand & foot, head massage, face massage for one and half hours.
